GALAXY SKATING CLUB OVERVIEW

Since 1997, Galaxy Skating Club has trained hundreds of roller skaters from all around the world in how to roller skate safely and with confidence. Our training program also supports deepening students’ understanding of artistic roller skating by studying all disciplines of skating. With comprehensive methods to make the practice accessible and appropriate. Our approach is modern, challenging, supportive and steeped in tradition.

The Galaxy Skating Club teaches basic skating skills to advanced skills in dance, free skating and figures which are done on a personal level up to a competitive level. The basic skills sets taught can be transferred to other skating disciplines such as speed or roller derby.

Galaxy Roller Skating Club is an amateur artistic club dedicated to the pursuit of enhancing the sport of roller skating through competitive and test venues. Our skaters are also encouraged to have fun and practice good sportsmanship, while competing in the various events.

Artistic roller skating offers the same events as ice skating, such as, dance, figures, freestyle, pairs and precision team events for all age groups. Roller skating also conducts regional, national and world competitions in all parts of the globe. It is also a class ‘A’ voting member of the United States Olympic Committee and a member of the Pan American Games.
